City of Dallas and Mayor Mike Rawlings will hold the 2016 Neighborhood Conference on June 17th

City of Dallas and Mayor Mike Rawlings invite you to the 2016 MAYOR’S NEIGHBORHOOD CONFERENCE on Friday, June 17 at Gilley’s Dallas 1135 S. Lamar Street, from 8:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m.

Mayor’s Neighborhood Conference, co-hosted with the Code Compliance Services department, is an annual conference which works to inform and empower neighborhoods with tools and strategies to develop sustainable communities. This will be an educational opportunity where attendees are taught vital city information to grow neighborhoods. Each year, recognition is given to different neighborhood organizations for improving quality of life for Dallas residents.

“Strong neighborhoods are the foundation to a great city,” said Rawlings. “We have to invest in Dallas’ future by empowering and engaging our communities.”

Vendor booths will open at 8:30 a.m. The Conference Master of Ceremonies is Ben Collins, Assistant Director of Code Compliance. Mayor Rawlings will announce GrowSouth Challenge Grant Recipient winners at 10:15am and Clean Neighborhood Award winners will be announced by the MC after lunch. Families are welcome to attend.
